A Reverse Poem - A Miracle

A Reverse Poem A reverse poem is a clever craft move because you must write with two poems in mind. One that reads as a normal poem would be read, and the second you will read it in reverse, beginning at the bottom and read to the top. Word selection is KEY! You must wordsmith to find the specific word choice that creates the feeling and message you intend not on that word to imply, but also the entire poem.  I wrote about my daughter, Ashley. SHE is my miracle!! Every person is given one miracle in life, and she is mine. I am blessed to have known the nearness of death and to trust change without fear. I learned strength comes in the weakest moments. I learned a fighting spirit is something we are born with, and it must be kindled or the flame extinguishes itself. I learned the meaning of unconditional love, of putting another before yourself, of standing up for my children at all costs!! What do you see? What images come to mind? Take pen in hand and write them down. Listing words is the purest form of transparently receiving what your inner spirit wants to bring forward. I have realized that sometimes, even when you least mean to, you may shine too brightly. Perhaps, you are passionate about a hobby, like baking. Go with me here. You love baking SO much that you bake new recipes, trying out different types of sugars, flavorings, frosting, building your abilities so that it really seems you have game! I mean, you are even fantasizing about being a baker one day. One that could appear on the Food Network and compete, but competition isn't your thing. See, you don't like to shine. You much prefer to blend into the wall and flower there. A wallflower suits you just fine. Until one day, when your friends are talking about how much they love cookies and wish they had some to have with coffee during morning break. So, being the pleaser that you are, you go home, put on some music, get out your favorite pan, because every baker has that...one...pan that puts just the right amount of golden browness on your cookies. Not too much, because burnt cookie
